Castings

Casting is a manufacturing process in which liquid materials are poured into a mold. The mold contains a hollow cavity with the desired shape. It can be solidified. The solidified part is known as a casting, which is ejected or made out of the mold to complete the process. Casting materials are usually metals or various cold setting materials that cure after mixing two or more components together. Examples tend to be epoxy, concrete, plaster and clay.
